Acorn CorCap™ Clinical Trials / Clinical Studies

Heart failure is a common medical condition that affects millions of Americans and can seriously impact your daily life.

Acorn Cardiovascular, Inc. has initiated two clinical research studies to investigate the safety and efficacy of the CorCap device in patients with heart failure: the CorCap MVR Study and the Gen 2 Study.  The CorCap is a polyester mesh device that is wrapped around the heart to provide gentle support and potentially prevent the heart from enlarging and becoming weaker.

As of July 2008, the CorCap device has been implanted in more than 550 patients worldwide.

To find out if the current medical state of your heart failure may make you eligible to participate in one of these clinical studies, please fill out the survey at Am I a Candidate?
